Edgar Zamora was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico (March 1971). Graduated from the National School of Arts in
Mexico City. He also took various professional workshops in different disciplines.
Edgar's passion for human figure and there complex forms of expression are an integral part of
his paintings. In his constant search for his expressive identity, he moves easily from the rigid
detail of the traditional school of painting to his most primitive expressions, which nourishes
his works with an interesting mix and constant evolution.
The figurative forms expressed by The Artist in his paintings try to scape from an eminent
abstract plane or to the contrary his lines, points and the use of contrast and color fight
for their own identity cohabiting in the same space. It is in this aura where the importance
of his works and his artistic efforts lie.
The artist seems to meander within the human feelings and emotions such as peace, love, rage,
reflection, sexuality and eroticism thereby dwelling into the human insight.
Work is never completed until the last breathe of our being scapes, eveything is temporary
and susceptible to changes and improvements. Our work is just the footprint we leave, when
we go after our so named human hapiness.
